This zipper pouch was created with different recycled fabrics, including pre-consumer hemp scraps from HEMPEA. The quilted outer was mainly created with hemp scraps, while the lining and back fabric is secondhand. The back fabric is a bright orange linen and the lining a shiny black synthetic. The zipper and sewing thread are secondhand as well.
The zipper pouch is made with a small piece of patchwork fabric. The fabric was pieced together from hemp and other fabric pieces and then quilted onto a backing fabric with orange sewing thread. The zipper pouch is then constructed with the back piece and lining, including some boxed corners to give a bit more space in the bottom.
This zipper pouch is the perfect size for travel toiletries, drawing supplies or a knitting project in process. It could even fit a small A6 size notebook or be used as an organizer inside a larger bag to keep your chargers and headphones untangled and tidy.
HEMPEA is a finnish sustainable brand, creating eco-friendly home textiles from 100% hemp fabrics. This product is created with some of their pre-consumer scraps - cut-offs in the production process of their bedding and other products. Their high quality, ethically made hemp fabrics are too precious to waste, so we took all the small and odd shape pieces and created a small collection of unique Wasteless Wonders products with them.
