This tote bag is made with organic cotton velour for the outer and a grey secondhand fabric for the lining. The straps are secondhand webbing. The organic cotton scraps are pre-consumer production waste from Finnish sustainable fashion brand MORICO.
This playful tote bag is made with a quilted front and back panel. The velour is quilted onto a sturdy recycled upholstery fabric to eliminate any stretch and give it sturdiness. A long tube is constructed with small velour scraps, ruffled and added around the border of the bag. The lining is added and finished with some bias tape to emphasize the shape of the tote bag.
This bag is a fun statement piece, that gives a colorful and playful twist to any outfit. The bag is on the smaller side for a tote bag, but can still hold your essentials for work, school or a quick trip to the grocery store. The bag is very sturdy and keeps a nice shape, even when filled with many different things.
MORICO is a finnish sustainable brand, creating ethical and slow fashion. This product is created with some of their pre-consumer scraps - cut-offs in the production process of their clothes and accessories. Their high quality organic cottons, viscose and other fabrics are too precious to waste, so we took some of the small and weird pieces and created a small collection of unique Wasteless Wonders products with them.
