This duffle bag was created with different recycled fabrics, including pre-consumer hemp scraps from HEMPEA. The quilted side and back pocket were mainly created with hemp scraps, while the outer and lining are a variety of secondhand fabrics. The outer is a natural white sturdy canvas, while the lining is a silky shimmery black synthetic. The straps are made with secondhand webbing and the large pink zipper is secondhand as well.
The duffle bag has a patchwork front side and outer pocket. These pieces were made with a bunch of small pieces of fabric, cut from small scraps and leftovers. Once pieced together, they were each quilted onto a backing fabric with a grid pattern. The bag was then constructed with the quilted pieces and the other secondhand fabrics. The straps go all the way around the bag for added sturdiness and longevity.
The duffle bag is spacious and has a large opening with the zipper spanning almost all the way from side to side. It should fit all your workout gear or your travel essentials for a short weekend trip. The fun geometric pattern has a few pops of color and together with the bright pink zipper, the bag is a fun accessory for basic and minimal outfits.
HEMPEA is a finnish sustainable brand, creating eco-friendly home textiles from 100% hemp fabrics. This product is created with some of their pre-consumer scraps - cut-offs in the production process of their bedding and other products. Their high quality, ethically made hemp fabrics are too precious to waste, so we took all the small and odd shape pieces and created a small collection of unique Wasteless Wonders products with them.
